  Marsha Traub - KMC Dance Baton Teacher Marsha Traub ("Miss Marsha")

studied dance for 9 years from June Burnett and Audrey Montgomery in Springfield, PA. In the seventh grade she switched to baton and joined the marching band at Garnet Valley Junior/Senior High School. She was a member of the band for 6 years, in which she served as head majorette for 2 years. During this time she also did competitive baton twirling with the high school majorette squad as well as participating in solo and duet events.

  Classes Offered    
       
 

Baton I - Open to students 3 to 5 who have never twirled a baton or have only 1 year experience. In this 30 minute class students learn the basic twirls, elementary body movements and marching.

Baton II - Open to students 6 to 8 who have never twirled a baton or have only 1 year experience. In this 45 minute class students learn the basic twirls, elementary body movements and marching.

Baton III - Open to students 8 - 11 who have learned the basics of twirling or have the ability to catch on quickly. In this 45 minute class is designed towards students who have already begun to learn rolls, tosses and finger twirls but have not mastered these skills.

Baton IV - One hour class open to students 9+ who have advanced to a level where they have mastered all basic twirls, can do tosses with basic catches and elementary rolls, and have good control of their baton. Students are ready to learn more difficult releases and catches to tosses, more advanced rolls and finger twirls as well as add more body movement.
